SCENARIO

T 1 --- Good morning, boys and girls!

T 2--- Today we will have an exciting and educating game "The Call of the Jungle”.

T 1--- But before we start our game, we should choose 18 participants and divide them into two teams. I will bring you the bag with cards and you are to pick the card with the number of the team (see Supplement 1).

T 2--- Now, the place for the team #1 is at my left side and the team #2 at my right side.

T 1--- The first team is called "Coalas” and the second is called "Tigers”.

T 2--- Each person will get the emblem of the team (see Supplement 2).

    T 1--- Now, please, introduce yourself. What is your name? How old are you? What is your hobby?

T 2--- Now some words about the rules of the game. You will have 6 competitions. Every time you win a competition, you will get a point (see Supplement 3). The team that gathers more points at the end of the game will be the winner.

T 1--- Let’s start the first competition. It’s called "Who Is the First?” I need 3 people from each team. Every pair is to write 3 words beginning with each letter of the word. "Coalas” – black, "Tigers” - white. The winner is the team which will write and spell all the words in the right way.

T 2--- Now, let’s sum up the results. The winner is the team called "…”.

T 1--- Our second competition is called "Crossword”. You are to guess the English proverbs. On the blackboard you can see the numbers.

T2 --- Each number corresponds to the letter of the ABC. Ex.: 1 - A, 2 - B, etc.

T1--- Let’s see, which team will be the first. You have 10 minutes for this task. You will get a point, if you name the proverb in the right way.

1) 23, 8, 5, 14; 7, 21, 14, 19; 19, 16, 5, 1, 11; 9, 20; 20, 15, 15; 2, 1, 20, 5; 20, 15, 1, 18, 7, 21, 5.

Key: When guns speak it is too late to argue.

T1--- Now, let’s sum up the results. The winner is the team called "…”.

T 1--- The third competition – "Make it logical”.

T2--- Now you will listen to the text. The sentences of the text are not in the right order. You are to put the sentences into the right order. You’ll get a point for each right sentence (see Supplement 4).

T3--- Be very attentive! You have 10 minutes for this task.

 T1: - The time is up! Let me listen to your texts. "Coalas” got … points and "Tigers” got … points.

T 1--- The 4^th competition is called "The Memory Game”. And the topic is "Animals”. The 1^st member of the team is to name an animal, the 2^nd is to add a new one and repeat the previous word, the 3^rd is to add a new word and repeat 2 words and so on. For example, 1^st – a dog; 2^nd – a monkey, a dog; 3^rd – a cat, a monkey, a dog. The person, who makes a mistake, will leave this competition. The team, which will have more members at the end of this competition, is the winner.

T 2--- Now, let’s sum up the results. And the winner is ....

T 1--- Our 5^th competition is called "Gather the Chain”. Each of you will choose a card with the part of the body on it. You should make a chain, according to what is written on the card. The 1^st person is to hold the neighbour at the left by the knee. The last person of the chain is to hold the person at the right by the heel. The rest of the chain is to hold the person on the right by the part of the body, which is written under the letter "a” and the person on the left – under the letter "b”. The winner is the fastest and the strongest team (see Supplement 5). 

T 2--- The winner is ....

    T 1--- Now, let’s sum up the results. The winner is ..., according to the results of all of the competitions.

T 1--- Thank you for being active! You showed good results. We think that this game helped you to rein force the material that we had learned at our lessons. All the participants will get a good mark!

T 2--- I think you spent a good time and had a great fun. Thank you very much. Good bye!
